Hi! My name is Amélie (she/her) and I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP). I love to help people rediscover themselves in order to create healing and change in their lives.
I believe that every person needs a safe environment in order to heal, and I strive to provide that in my sessions. My focus is helping you to find your own path to growth and change.

My
Story
I have always been very interested in understanding how people think. As a highly sensitive person (HSP), I found it difficult to fit in with my peers, and I struggled with the intensity of the world. I thought that if I could understand how people work, then maybe I would have an easier time interacting with them. So when it was time to go to university, I made the obvious choice to go into computer engineering! Okay, so like so many life journeys, mine didn't quite take a straight line...
A few years into my career as a computer programmer, I started to feel exhausted and unfulfilled, so I decided to take up a hobby. I began studying healing, energy work and spirituality. Alternative and holistic health were fascinating to me, but no matter what I did in my spare time I still crept towards burnout in my work. Finally, after a very difficult experience, I left the world of computers and earned my Holistic Health Practitioner Diploma from Grant MacEwan University. I studied Flower Essences, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Reiki, and eventually BodyTalk.
In the following years, I worked with clients using BodyTalk and I continued my studies, but I spent most of my time caring for my two young children. Both of my children have neurodivergences, and that helped me learn a great deal about the incredible range of differences in people.
As my children got older, I decided to return to my passion in mental health, and I earned my Diploma in Transpersonal Therapeutic Counselling from Clearmind International. My life experiences, holistic health knowledge, and counsellor training allow me to be a patient, detail-oriented, and insightful counsellor.
I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story too!
